Moving Jobs From The Private Sector To The Public Sector

By Wes Keene | April 5, 2010 | In Category: Economy

9.7% unemployment. It seems that will become the new “fully employed” baseline. It’s stayed at that rate for so long that many simply accept it. As Regulation Increases, Consumers Pay The Price

By Wes Keene | March 22, 2010 | In Category: Economy, General

To be honest, the free market is less than ideal. In a perfect world basic necessities would be taken care of for everyone, prices would remain constant and low, and aspiring business people would be free to innovate and propser. The worse news is that attempting to regulate markets only makes the situation worse.

By Wes Keene | March 14, 2010 | In Category: Economy, General

The recession has been rough on everyone. Everyone except government officials and those politically connected to them. that is. Obama’s Lackluster Focus On Jobs

By Wes Keene | March 10, 2010 | In Category: Economy, General

We have a couple trillian bucks for an unpopular health care plan. We’ve got money to turn Thompson correctional facility in IL into Gitmo north. We have bailout money and stimulus money that does anything but stimulate. So where’s that new focus on jobs anyway?

    No Turnaround On Economy

By Wes Keene | February 22, 2010 | In Category: Economy

Obama has spent countless time supporting a health care reform package the public simply doesn’t want. During the State Of The Union address we were told there would be a new focus on jobs…but where is it?

The Federal Reserve gods have raised the interest rate. Why do we give the Fed so much power though?

    Unemployment Up 31K

By Wes Keene | February 18, 2010 | In Category: Economy

Weekly jobless numbers are out, and 31k higher than expected. When will politicians admit the stimulus bill was a disaster?

    Climate Change The Subject Already

By Wes Keene | February 14, 2010 | In Category: Economy

So much attention has been paid recently to the record snow on the east coast, Texas’ rare snow on Friday, and the longer and colder than normal winter in many parts of the States. It’s not too surprising that many would point out the irony of the leftist push for carbon taxes to keep the [...]
